This week, an especially innovative curriculum
During “Sloan Innovation Period” week at the MIT Sloan School of Management, MBA students explore a wide range of topics.
This week has been the Sloan Innovation Period (SIP) here at the MIT Sloan School of Management. What’s that? Each term, in mid-semester, MBA students at the school take part in special SIP workshops offered during the course of the week — with an aim of giving students a chance to explore new topics and perspectives.
SIP workshops that MBA students could choose this semester ranged from “Transforming Capitalism: Pioneering a Green Regenerative Economy” (a goal that somehow seems like it might take more than a week!) to “Leadership and Innovation in Times of Crisis.” One of this semester’s SIP workshops even looked at innovation in the political sphere: Marshall Ganz presented on “Distributing and Developing Leadership in the Obama Campaign.”
