Remembering C.K. Prahalad
Topics
We at MIT Sloan Management Review were saddened to learn of the recent death of influential management thinker C.K. Prahalad, a professor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and the author of well-known management books such as “The Fortune at The Bottom of the Pyramid.”
As an obituary in the Financial Times notes, Prahalad’s “death brings a premature end to what was a remarkable and highly productive career. Over the last three decades CK launched radical new ideas which would soon become conventional wisdom.”
Prahalad contributed a number of articles to MIT Sloan Management Review; in fact, he coauthored more than half a dozen articles that appeared in MIT SMR between 1976 and 2003:
- With Venkatram Ramaswamy, “The New Frontier of Experience Innovation” (Summer 2003)
- With M.S. Krishnan, “The Dynamic Synchronization of Strategy and Information Technology” (Summer 2002)
- With Jan P. Oosterveld, “Transforming Internal Governance: The Challenge for Multinationals” (Spring 1999)
- With Yves L.Â
